Happy Onam Wishes 2021 Images, quotes, messages, status: A harvest festival widely celebrated in the state of Kerala and by the Malayan community around the world, Onam commemorates the annual return of King Mahabali, considered the descendant of Kashyapa, a Brahmin sage and ardent devotee of Lord Vishnu.

According to the Malayalam calendar, the festival is celebrated on 22 nakshatra Thiruvonam, in the month of “Chingam” which straddles the months of August and September, according to the Gregorian calendar. This year, the three main days of the festival will be celebrated from August 21 to 23. Preparations begin 10 days before the three important days. People make “flower carpets” known as Pookalam (a flower rangoli) in their classes.

Celebrations may also be reduced this year due to the pandemic, but be sure to wish your loved ones these special messages, cards, photos and quotes.
