“E-Unnat web portal fulfills J&K citizens dream of responsive governance”

SRINAGAR: The J&K government enables J&K citizens, especially young people, to benefit from government services at the click of a button on the electronic portal; accessible by logging on to eunnat.jk.gov.in.

It is a dream come true for young people who have always aspired to use the power of technology to access and enjoy the services provided by different departments of UT to become a partner in the governance of UT.

Being tech-savvy, they have always imagined the system that matches their wishes and aspirations. They wanted to use the gadgets in their hands to get to where they had to spend days wandering the halls of government offices.

It was a change they had considered. It was just a dark, distant idea that they craved. It was their desire. A hope to realize their innate potential. An easy opportunity to put color in their dreams. This too without having to tire yourself in the labyrinthine alleys of offices and departments.

Then a system took shape that really felt the needs and aspirations of these young people. He foresaw what these young people had been harboring for years. The rulers took it upon themselves to materialize what was immaterial during all these years. They started working on all these deliverables and dedicating them to the public one by one. This new dispensation set out on the path of less government, more governance.

It is in this pursuit that the LG, the competent administration of Manoj Sinha, propelled by an efficient team of officers led by the Chief Secretary, Dr. Arun Kumar Mehta, has been working day by day to bring paperless administration and without corruption at people’s doorsteps.

The recent launch of a single unified digital platform called e-Unnat to avail most important government services is an example of the same.

From this single interface, a single registration gives access to all of these services and benefits.

Whether it’s birth or death registration, obtaining a NOC for mobile tower installation, street vending license, registration of a dairy farm/Gaushalla, a road cut permit, a trade fair permit (Mela), a sewer connection by the Housing Department. Or whether it is the issuance of Income, Character, Unemployment, Legal Heir, Dependency, SC/ST/OBC/RBA/EWS/PSP/IB/ALC certificates by Tehsildar , in addition to the attestation of mutations by him, all are provided on this single interface.

In addition, applications for obtaining marriage assistance, financial assistance under Ladli Beti and several pensions by the Department of Social Welfare can now be made from this digital platform.

The response statistics received on the platform reveal that 128857 applications were received for the above services. Of these 115,135 certificates are already issued digitally with only 13,722 applications being processed.

Monitoring is carried out at every level to ensure that all services are provided within the timeframes set out under the J&K Public Service Guarantee Act (PSGA).

The interface is user-friendly as it was created with the aim of making all government services accessible to the common man at the click of a button and ensuring the efficiency, transparency, responsiveness and reliability of these services to meet to the basic needs of the common people. man.

Citizens must first register and apply for any service by completing an application form and will receive an exit certificate/report as service deliverables in the portal itself.

Marking a remarkable achievement in the digital journey of Jammu and Kashmir, e-Unnat provides a window for government to get feedback from citizens on any topic related to service delivery, its quality for further improvement.

The platform is integrated with the Rapid Rating System (RAS) which gives users the opportunity to provide feedback on their experience using the service.

Additionally, the platform has been fully integrated with the national “Meri Pehchan” portal for more fruitful access and availability. It has also been synced with Digi Locker, UMANG App, SMS/e-Payment Gateway for general convenience and ease of users. This will usher in the freedom to stand in government offices and reinforce the dream of making JK fully digital.
