After the 2022 ZS EV was spotted completely undisguised, MG Motor India has released some official photographs of the soon to be launched electric compact SUV.
As reported by MotorBeam previously, the ZS EV 2022 will come with global design elements. Now, the brand has also announced that it will get the features of the global model.
From the official images, it’s clear that the car will feature a fresh new look for 2022. Painted in a shade of white, the 2022 MG ZS EV looks a lot like the Astor, its combustion engine-only sibling. (2 petrol options).
Compared to the ZS EV 2021, the refreshed model has a modern look. It is quite amazing to see the level of visual difference that new LED lights and bumpers can bring to a car.
The new front end of the compact electric crossover, as well as the revised set of 17-inch aerodynamically optimized alloy wheels make a noticeable impact. It also adopts the taillights and rear bumper of the Astor, but the skid plate is different.
Stepping inside, people will notice the revised dashboard, modified center console, and a long list of new-era features including a digital instrument cluster, 10.1-inch touchscreen, sunroof , a 360-degree camera system and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) among others.
MG Motor claims the 2022 ZS EV will have the longest range “compared to any EV in India”. The car is expected to come with a larger 51 kWh battery. That would mean the crossover will come with over 450km of claimed range.
The 2022 MG ZS EV will be introduced in the market this month and is expected to cost more than the 2021 model which is priced between Rs. 21.50 lakhs and Rs. 25.18 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi).
Since its introduction, MG’s electric vehicle has found nearly 4,000 homes in India. It holds 27% market share in the country’s electric passenger vehicle segment.
